Material All the participants (males and females) participated online a link was sent to them through email by the trimester 2 students of Psychology B. it contains questions about the social media profile picture and personality characteristics of participants. questions about gender, age, social media sites which they use , profile pictures they like to display , what they like to post and do on social media. every participant may be respond in a different manner based on his or her preference. there is percentage sacle to quantify the usage of social media sites Procedure Participants (males and females were asked about their age and gender and which social media website they use regularly. after that in the next step they are shown with some profile pictures and asked to rate them how likely they use each type on their own profiles. There are different pictures for males and females. After that they are provided with some set of statements and asked to choose from that that comes closer to their own feelings, thoughts and beliefs. it took hardly 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire. data was collected and analysed by the teaching staff for the result and conclusion of the study.
